UAB "Cignera" together with VDU (Vytautas Magnus University) is implementing a project to create innovative environmentally friendly technologies
During the project "Creation and demonstration of innovative environmentally friendly technologies Cignera, UAB", UAB "Cignera" together with VMU scientists will develop an innovative technology that will help solve the problems of green waste utilization.
The problem of green waste is particularly acute in large cities. Such waste thrown into municipal waste containers complicates the work of waste managers, becomes a burden for residents themselves, because it begins to rot and emit an unpleasant odor, and contributes to climate change when it begins to decompose in landfills. Residents are invited to deliver the green waste generated during environmental management to special collection points or use a waste removal service.
The goal of the project - during the R&D activities, the project aims to create a technology for composting generated biodegradable green waste with bone meal bioadditive, which will accelerate the decomposition of BSA green waste and will be an effective bio-fertilizer for the soil.
The result created during the project is intended for agribusiness companies and residents who generate biodegradable green waste through their activities worldwide.
The project is co-financed by the European Union.
Project value: 457,165.04 EUR
EU funding: 278,156.32 EUR
Project duration: September 2024 - March 2027
